Driver App Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Quarry Connect Driver App (the “Driver App”), this website, drivers.quarryconnect.com, and the text messages and message links we send to Drivers. The Driver App is published by Stella International, Inc., doing business as Quarry Connect (“Quarry Connect”, “we” and “us”).

Drivers use the Driver App to receive and complete Jobs for the Brokers they haul for. Each Broker runs its own account in Quarry Connect Software (the “Software”). Brokers, quarries and visitors to quarryconnect.com are covered by our main Privacy Policy.

Information we collect

Account details: your name, email address, mobile number, preferred language, and the details of your truck and the Brokers you work with.
Location: your precise location while you have a Job in progress, so the Driver App can record the route for each load. With your permission this continues in the background, and while you are offline, until the Job ends. We do not collect your location when you have no Job in progress.
Photos: photos of scale tickets that you take with the camera, or choose from your photo library, to attach to a load. The Driver App only reads the photos you choose.
Job activity: the Jobs you accept, start and finish, your load times, tickets, messages and replies to dispatch.
Notifications: if you allow notifications, a notification token for your phone, so we can tell you about new Jobs and messages.
Device details: an identifier the Driver App creates for your phone, your app version and your phone’s operating system, used to keep your account secure and to fix problems.
Text messages: your mobile number, your consent to receive work texts (when and how it was given), and the texts sent and received.

The Driver App stores your Jobs, photos and route on your phone until they are uploaded, so it keeps working without signal.

The Driver App has no advertising, and we do not use your information to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

How we use it

To run your account and sign you in.
To send you Jobs, messages and changes from the Brokers you work for, and to send them your replies.
To record your loads, tickets, times and routes, so your Broker can invoice their Customers and pay you correctly.
To keep the Driver App and your account secure, and to fix problems.
To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

The Brokers you work for. Each Broker sees your account details and the Jobs, tickets, photos, routes and messages for the work you do for that Broker. A Broker does not see work you do for other Brokers.
That Broker’s Customers and Vendors, who see your name, truck, times and ticket details on the tickets, invoices and bills for loads you hauled.
Service providers that host and run Quarry Connect for us, such as our cloud hosting, mapping and SMS providers. They may use your information only to provide their service to us and must protect it to the same standard as we do.
Authorities, when the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or court order.

We do not sell your information, and we do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Who controls your information

The Jobs, tickets, photos, routes and messages for work you do for a Broker are that Broker’s business records. The Broker controls them, and Quarry Connect processes them on the Broker’s behalf. Your Driver account itself, which you use with every Broker, is held by Quarry Connect under this policy. Questions about a Broker’s records can go to that Broker or to us.

Your choices

Location, camera, photos and notifications can be turned off at any time in your phone’s settings. Without location, the Driver App cannot record your routes. Without the camera or photos, you cannot attach scale tickets in the app.
Text messages: reply STOP to stop work texts and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See our Terms of Use.
Access and correction: email us to ask for a copy of your information or to correct it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete your account and personal data, including your location history, within 30 days. Tickets, bills and other records of loads you hauled are also business records of the Broker you hauled for, and the Broker keeps those as the law requires.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your Driver account and its data at any time. See Delete Your Account for how.

Children

The Driver App is for working Drivers and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information, and your sign-in is stored in your phone’s secure storage. No data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we use reasonable and customary efforts to protect the information we hold.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the bottom of this page shows when it last changed. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the Driver App or on this website.
